With Successful Test of Long-Range Hypersonic Missile, India now is in the Elite Group of Nations

India has successfully tested a domestically developed long-range hypersonic missile, according to reports of news organisations on Sunday. Now, the most-populated nation of the world has put itself in the camp of a small group of nations like Russia, the United States and China which possess advanced missile technology.

The missile has been developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation and is designed to carry payloads for ranges exceeding 930 miles, according to news reports. 

The test-firing reportedly took place at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the eastern coast of Odisha province on Saturday.
