We will Painfully Attack You if You Attack Us”: Iran Warns Israel

Iran on Thursday warned Israel against any attack on any of its points by Israel in retaliation for a barrage of missile attack by it upon Israel on October 1, which had been carried out in response to Israel’s reported involvement in killing top Hezbollah and Hamas leaders.

"We tell you that if you commit any aggression against any point we will painfully attack the same point of yours," news said Hossein Salami in a televised speech, as reported by news organisations. Salami also said that Iran can penerate any defence of Israel.

Israel, meanwhile, has been planning for a retaliation against October 1 missile attack of Iran. Israeli military also stepped up its offensive in Lebanon against Tehran-backed Hezbollah.

As fears of further escalation of conflict in the Middle East increased, U.S. Defence Secretary Llyod Austin on Wednesday spoke to Israel Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on the issue.
