The proposed mineral deal between Ukraine and the United States has made substantial progress and the two nations are nearly closing up to sign a memorandum in the near future, according to reports.
Ukraine’s senior functionary in Volodymyr Zelensky administration, Yulia Svyrydenko stated on Wednesday in a post in X, saying: “Our technical teams have worked very thoroughly together on the agreement, and there is significant progress. Our legal staff has adjusted several items within the draft agreement".
United States President Donald Trump has been making efforts to end the war between Ukraine and Russia, and the mineral deal of his nation with Ukraine is part of the larger process of ending the war. United States looks upon the mineral deal as a way to get back a portion of the huge aid it gave to Ukraine in the air, though Ukraine does not like to count the aid it received from the U.S. as a ‘loan’.
Meanwhile, Russia has in the recent past maintained that the peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia is not an easy deal, though there is there is substantial will.
