Poll-bound United States was scheduled to announce an aid of over $300 million on Monday for the Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank, news organisations have reported.

The funding, first reported by news agency Reuters and subsequently carried by many other news organisations, will be implemented by USAID in collaboration with its partners for areas like food, healthcare, nutrition and other humanitarian services.

Since the last one year, massive humanitarian crises have arisen in Gaza and West Bank in Palestine due to war between Israel and Hamas. Many have lost homes, many have been injured, and most people are going through severe malnourishment due to food crisis. Glaring health issues plague the region.

U.S. has urged Israel on several occasions to go for ceasefire with Hamas in Palestine to avoid humanitarian situation, but war continues.
