US Secretary of States and China Foreign Minister hold crucial talks

Atop-level meeting on mutually concerning international affairs was held between the US Secretary of States Antony Blinken and China Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Laos. It reportedly was an ‘open and productive’ discussion in the face of the growing assertiveness of China including in the South China Sea, and China’s deepening ties with Moscow.

Emerging super-power China is a threat to the US’s international hegemony, and more so, if it is not kept in place vis-à-vis Moscow. Blinken also raised US concerns US Secretary of States and China Foreign Minister hold crucial talks .
