U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, is heading to Israel and other Middle-East countries to hold talk with them on possible ceasefire of the war between Israel and Hamas-Hezbollah, news organisations reported quoting the U.S. State Department.
“Throughout the region, Secretary Blinken will discuss the importance of bringing the war in Gaza to an end, securing the release of all hostages and alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people,” news organisations quoted U.S. Department of States spokesman, Matthew Miller as saying.
“He will continue discussions on post-conflict period planning and emphasize the need to chart a new path forward that enables Palestinians to rebuild their lives and realise their aspirations free from Hamas’s tyranny. He will underscore that additional food, medicine and other humanitarian aid must be delivered to civilians in Gaza,”the statement further said.
The U.S. has been trying hard to cause a ceasefire, but Israel is in no mood to stop, even flouting UN calls.
