U.S. Scientists Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun win Nobel Prize for Medicine

U.S. scientists Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun have won the 2024 Nobel Prize in Medicine. Their work for which they were chosen is the discovery of microRNA and its crucial role in how multicellular organisms grow and live.

The Nobel winners’ work helped explain who cells specialise and develop unto different types, such a muscles and nerve cells.
