The U.S. presidential election is turning interesting with every passing day, with former President Donald Trump saying he won’t run for 2028 election if he loses this election. While CNN says: “Kamala Harris vs. Donald Trump is the closest presidential race of the century”, New York Times says “Republicans’ Troubles in North Carolina Grow as Harris Expands War Chest”.

Economics Times says: “This gaffe by Trump could give Kamala Harris a landslide victory in U.S elections”, further adding that “The latest insightful analysis has come from data scientist Thomas Miller regarding the White House race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. He has come with the assertive statement that the entire dynamics are going in favour of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.”

CNN further says: “Trump is getting wilder and wilder, but the White House race remains a toss-up”, adding “Democrats have bet the destiny of the White House on the premise that once voters remember the chaos and divisiveness of Donald Trump’s presidency, he’d suffer an election-defining slump.”

The NBC News poll survey that came out on Sunday showed Harris lead over Trump 49%--44%, best until now for Harris, who continues to build momentum, giving tough challenge to Trump. However, Trump holds advantage on issues of economy, inflation and border, according to reports of news organisations. CBS News survey too gave Harris an edge over Trump: 52% to 48%; though the margin in not too big. Considering the swing voters, which still remains undecided and may swing any side, the tight-rope walk for both the candidates will continue.

Maggie Astor of New York Times writes: “The former president held a narrow advantage in Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina, according to the poll, but the races there remained volatile: 15 percent of the electorate in those states described themselves as undecided or not definitely decided.” Trump, meanwhile, has said: “He wouldn’t run for presidential election in 2028 if he loses this election”, showed that it’s an all-out battle for Trump.
