U.S.-China maintain sweet and sour relations

The U.S. and China are in a kind of friend-foe relations. While top diplomats of U.S. held talk with top leaders of China, U.S. military was suspicious of China’s moves in South China Seas and warned it as ‘dangerous’.

Speaking in Sydney, United States Indo-Pacific Command head Admiral John Aquilino, according to news organisations, referred to recent conflict between China and Phillispine boats in South China Sea.

On the other hand, senior military officials from China and the United States held a video call on Tuesday morning, Beijing's defence ministry said, during which they had "an in-depth exchange of views on issues of common concern".A day before, China had announced a joint naval drill with Russia in the Sea of Japan and Sea of Okhotsk.
