U.S. President Joe Biden has allowed Ukraine to use U.S.-arms to strike deep inside Russia, news organisations have reported on Monday quoting global news agency Reuters.
According to reports, Ukraine plans to conduct its first long-range attacks in the next few days. Ukraine had been urging the U.S. to allow use of arms to strike deep into Russia since long, but Biden administration wasn’t allowing. Russia had maintained that if Ukraine uses U.S,-made long-range missiles to strike deep into its territory, it will count it as a direct entry of the U.S. in the war.
Biden administration has taken this shift in its position in the use of U.S.-arms when President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take up office next year. Trump, though has been maintaining he will stop the war, has not said anything substantial on this line after his election.
