UN concerned about violence in Bangladesh

Violent protests have erupted in Bangladesh over quotas in the government jobs. There are clashes between different groups as well as the police. Dozens of deaths have already occurred in the process, leaving hundreds, including journalists, injured.

Secretary General of the UN Mr. Antonio Guterres has urged Bangladesh to restrain violence and bring back peace in the country. Authorities in the UN said that they are very concerned on the violence in Bangladesh and are keeping close watch of the day-to-day developments there.
