Ukraine has said that Korean troops involvement in its war with Russia is a “huge” escalation risk. News organisations reported, referring to a joint press meet by Ukraine foreign minister Andrii Sybiha and his French counterpart France's Jean-Noel Barrot in Kyiv on Saturday.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy had accused North Korea of sending troops to fight against Ukraine alongside Russia.

Both Russia and North Korea have denied this allegation saying that there is no arms transfer.

Russian President Putin and North Korean President Kim Jong Un are on good terms and follow a policy of mutual cooperation.
