Two Wars, Two Tales

Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza are engaged in war against Israel, but the war is completely a lopsided one.
The killing of two top leaders by Israel in accurately targeted airstrikes only suggests that Israel has made a deep penetration in both Lebanon and Gaza Strip of Palestine, and war is already decided. First, Hamas chief Ismail Haniyen was killed in an airstrike in Iran capital Tehran, then a few days back Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in another targeted airstrike in Beirut.
Though there have been calls from Islamic world to unite and contain Israel, it has only remained a call—an Israel knows it. A few days back, some European nations met in Spain and after recognising Palestine nationhood, asked Israel to cease fire.
Israel has galvanised support of not just the U.S., but a few other nations as well. The world community can only urge, as it clearly does not want to engage itself deep in the Israel-Palestine-Lebanon war.
Just the opposite is the case with Russia-Ukraine war. Russia is powerful with arms; and Ukraine, is being backed by the U.S. and most European nations as part of NATO arrangements. Unlike Israel, who is striking and eliminating senior leaders of its opponent, Russia cannot do so though it is more powerful than individual Ukraine. Israel-Hezbollah-Hamas war does not have the potential of getting blown up into a multi-nations war, but Russia-Ukraine war holds this potential.
While Israel-Palestine-Lebanon war will halt any time owing to the worsening humanitarian situation, Russia-Ukraine war remains completely unpredictable.
