Trump’s AI-generated Photo as the Pope on social media

U.S. President Donald Trump’s AI-generated photo as the pope is making rounds on social media, Truth Social and on ‘X’, even as cardinals from across the world gather in Rome to select the next pope.

Earlier, Trump, according to reports had jokingly said that he would like to become the pope when asked who he would like to see as the next pope. Pope is the head of Roman Catholic Church.

So far, no one from the United States has become the pope though Trump spoke of Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York. According to reports, while Cardinal Dolan is not on the short-list, Cardinal Joseph Tobin, Archbishop of Newark, New Jersey is believed to be in the short-list.

After the passing away of Pope Francis, whose funeral Trump attended with his wife in Rome, cardinals from across the world have gathered in Rome to elect the next pope. The process of electing the next pope is expected to begin on May 7.
