Trump-Xi Speak over Telephone

U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping held a telephonic conversation on Thursday. According to reports, the talks mostly remained concentrated on trade and bilateral issues.

Trump, confirming of the conversation said on his social media platform, Truth Social: “I concluded a very good call with President Xi, of China, discussing some of the intricacies of our recently made, and I agree to, Trade Deal. The call lasted nearly one and half hours and resulted in a positive conclusion for both the countries….”

A few days before, the two nations had entered a trade deal and brought down their respective tariffs. However, the deal is said to be on a slippery ground.
