U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday threatened Iran of bombing if Tehran did not come to an agreement with the U.S. over its nuclear programme. Trump also said that he would be imposing more sanctions on Iran if Iran declines to make a deal with the United States.
"If they don't make a deal, there will be bombing," news organisations quoted Trump as saying. He also said that he would repeat sanctions on Iran just as he did in his first term.
Iran is accused of enriching its uranium as part of its larger nuclear programme, which the U.S. wants to contain.
Iran and the U.S. have been in conflict for many years now, and the U.S. has placed a long list of sanctions upon Iran. Iran does not enjoy a normal relationship with United States’ ally Israel too.
