Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has blamed Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy for starting the war with Russia and for failing to strike a peace deal with Russia after starting the war.
Russia-Ukraine war has been a key point on which both Republican candidate Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris have taken stands. However, Trump has been criticising Zelenskiy for the war, sometimes even saying that Zelenskiy is "the greatest salesman on Earth” as Zelenskiy takes away billions of dollars for the war each time he visits the United States.
According to reports of news organisations, Trump blamed Zelenskiy for the war during a Podcast on Thursday with Patrick Bet-David. Trump earlier had suggested that Ukraine should strike a peace deal with Russia even if it has to cede some portion of its territory to Russia—a position which is unacceptable to Ukraine.
