Russia has banned the head of Toyota Akio Toyoda and 12 other senior Japanese business persons from entering the country. The Russian step has prompted a protest in Tokyo against the ban on July 24. A list published by Russian foreign ministry also included Rakuten chief Hiroshi Mikitani and Akihiko Tanaka, president of the government-backed Japan International Cooperation Agency.
The ban by Russia is in response to Japan’s ongoing sanctions against Russia. The two countries are at logger head after invasion by Russia Federation against Ukraine.
