The Pope Advises the Global Community to Study whether Israel is Committing a Genocide in Gaza

Pope Francis has said that the global community should study whether the war of Israel in Gaza is a genocide of the Palestinian people, news organisations reported on Sunday.

The Pontiff in the excerpts of an upcoming book, as reported by news organisations quoting from the publication of Italian daily La Stampa, has said that some international experts say "what is happening in Gaza has the characteristics of a genocide". And therefore, the world community should carefully assess whether what is being done by Israel in Gaza fits into the technical definition of genocide formulated by international jurists and organizations.

The Pope has been critical of Israel’s act in Gaza in Palestine, but this is the most-straight talk by the Pontiff in the last two years. Israel has not yet responded to what Pope has said.
