Tension between Israel and Palestinian armed group, Hamas, has intensified with each side increasing its aggression on the other during the last few hours. Palestinian officials on Monday, according to news agencies, have said that Israel has killed at least 48 Palestinians in the past 24 hours in Gaza Strip.

However, Israel went on a massive protest against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s alleged failure to bring back hostages home safe. Six Israeli hostages had been found dead. Israelis said had Netanyahu gone for ceasefire with Hamas and negotiated for the safe release of the hostages, the hostages would have come back home safe.

The protest of the Israelis led to closure of establishments with other general disruptions across the country on Monday. Meanwhile, a polio vaccination campaign is on in the war-torn Palestine, and the Palestinian and U.N. officials maintained that over 80,000 children have been vaccinated so far in the central Gaza area. Hamas and Israel have agreed to brief pauses in fighting to allow vaccination of some 640,000 children.
