Telegram chief’s arrest creates tension between Russia and France

There is tension between Russia and France after the arrest of social media platform Telegram’s chief Durov. Durov, who was born in Russia, holds dual citizenship—that of Russia and France. Durov was arrested near Paris as part of an investigation into crimes related to images of child sex abuse, drug trafficking and fraudulent transactions on the platform, Reuters said quoting French prosecutors. Durov also holds a UAE passport.
