Sweden authorities on Tuesday accused Iran of hacking a text messaging platform last year and sending huge number of messages urging Swedes to take revenge against people who burnt copies of the Koran.

The incident of burning copies of the Koran had taken place in Sweden last year wherein many people on different occasions had set on fire the Holy book of Islam, the Koran, angering the orthodox Islam followers and jihadis.

News organisations, quoting a statement of the Swedish Security Service, reported that a cyber group hacked the text messaging platform on the behest of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, with a purpose to paint Sweden as an Islamophobic country.
