The Christian population in South Korean is in massive protest against the ruling of the nation’s court: that same sex partner is entitled to the state health insurance benefits.

On Sunday, a huge Christian population, according to news organisations, to the tune of 230,000, hit the roads in the city of Seoul and demonstrated protest against the ruling of the top court of the country.

The supreme court of the country had upheld a high court ruling that a same-sex partner was eligible for spousal benefits from the National Health Insurance Service.

Same sex marriage is a big topic of discussion in the U.S. and in the West. The Christian Church however rejects the validity of same sex marriage and thus denies the status of spouse to the same sex partner, terming same sex union as unnatural.
