Russian ballistic missile attack on Tuesday has reportedly killed more than 40 people in Ukraine, and wounded another 180, news organisations have reported. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said dozens of Ukrainian people have been killed in a Russian attack Tuesday on the central Ukrainian city of Poltava.

“I received preliminary reports on the Russian strike in Poltava. According to available information, two ballistic missiles hit the area. They targeted an educational institution and a nearby hospital, partially destroying one of the telecommunications institute's buildings,” Zelensky posted on social media platform X. The place where the Russian strike took place was a military education centre.
