Russia Will Not Go for Nuclear Test as long as the U.S. Refrains from Testing

Russia on Monday has said that it will not go for nuclear test as long as the U.S. refrains from testing, according to reports from news organisations, quoting an official close to President Putin.

Russia, post-Soviet era, has a moratorium on nuclear test. A few days back, a top official in-charge of the nuclear test facility in Russia had said that the facility was ready for nuclear test any time.

As the allies of Ukraine give weapons to Ukraine to fire deep into Russian territories, there has been speculations that Russia may test nuclear weapons to send a strong message.
