Russia-Ukraine Exchange Prisoners of War

The warring Russia and Ukraine on Wednesday (January 15, 2025) swapped 25 prisoners of war (PoW) from each side after a negotiation by United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to reports. Statements issued by Ukraine President on X said: "These are our military and civilians," adding that many PoWs had severe injuries and illness who are in need of immediate medical care. Russia’s Defence Ministry too, has said that the exchange of prisoners of war took place and the soldiers are in need of medical care.
