Russia on Sunday launched a barrage of airstrikes upon Ukraine that killed at least seven people and caused "severe damage" to the power system, news organisations have reported.

According to reports, this strike was so far the largest in the last three months since August, that involved firing of 120 missiles and 90 drones. Today attack by Russia is feared to cause long blackouts and throw life out of gear as winter sets in.

"Russia launched one of the largest air attacks: drones and missiles against peaceful cities, sleeping civilians, critical infrastructure," Ukraine Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha wrote on X.
