Prince William, the Prince of Wales, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and heads of 50 other states are scheduled to attend the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral tomorrow (Saturday), which is going to be the most glamorous and pompous ceremony of the recent times.

According to news reports, the whole of Paris is all set to celebrate the big occasion as a resurgence of France and the global Catholic community, re-living the grand old Medieval age when Paris was the seat of learning and culture.

News organisations stated that the Prince of Wales is traveling to Paris at the request of the UK government on behalf of His Majesty’s Government. “The Prince of Wales will travel to Paris tomorrow to attend the ceremony marking the reopening of the Notre-Dame cathedral,” news organisations quoted a palace spokesperson as saying. "His Royal Highness is travelling at the request of His Majesty’s Government on behalf of the United Kingdom."

The iconic Parisian cathedral is famous for its legendary architecture and grand history. A nasty fire on April 15, 2019, devastated Notre-Dame de Paris, particularly to its roof and spire. Standing on the banks of the Seine River in the heart of Paris, the Notre-Dame de Paris is a medieval period architectural marvel. In total, 846 million euros ($891 million/ Rs 75.4 billion) was raised through donations from 340,000 donors across 150 countries, with the surplus funds allocated to the restoration of other monuments.
