President Joe Biden delivers his final speech to Democrats

President Jo Biden on Monday delivered a valedictory address to the members of Democratic National Convention at a gathering in Chicago, attracting a rousing ovation by his fellow party men. The outgoing President was not just appreciated for his successful tenure, but also for his decision to step aside and not to seek re-election for the top post, instead endorse his Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz. Joe Biden, in his remarks repeated his 2020 theme that said “we’re in a battle for the very soul of America,” and said that Harris and her running mate Walz are most suitable for to wage the battle. Biden, after having been in active politics for 52 years, hangs his boots at 81. In his presidential election, he had defeated former President Donald Trump, who is now seeking re-election in a tough fight with Democrat Harris.
