Pope Calls for End of Russia-Ukraine War

Pope Francis on the day of Christmas, called world leaders to talk and end the Russia-Ukraine war. According to reports of news organisations, the Pontiff delivered his "Urbi et Orbi"—to the city and the world, address on Christmas Day, in which he talked of Rusia-Ukraine war. "May the sound of arms be silenced in war-torn Ukraine," he said, adding "gestures of dialogue and encounter, in order to achieve a just and lasting peace".

Pope Francis has been an ardent advocate of peace and has often denounced the wars going on in the Middle-East as well as between Russia and Ukraine, calling world leaders to end them soon.
