The ousted Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will return to Bangladesh once the elections are announced, her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy has said.
Joy also said that the present Interim government is ‘unconstitutional’ and elections have to be held within 90 days from the day when Sheikh Hasina government fell after her resignation. Joy even claimed that Awami League will win if elections are held free and fair. Joy however was not sure whether his mother will return to politics.
Ms Hasina is currently in India. Job quota controversy had caused a massive protest in Bangladesh which had eventually made Ms Hasina to resign and flee Bangladesh. Violent clashes between different groups killed well over 500 people.
