North Korea President Kim Jong Un visited the family tomb on Tuesday to pay tribute to his late father Kim Jong Il and grandfather Kim Il Sung on Tuesday, news organisations reported quoting North Korean state media.

Kim Jong Un was accompanied by his senior officials including the Premier Kim Tok Hun. Kim is learnt to have bowed before the tombs of his father and grandfather and paid their tributes, apart from making floral offerings.

Kims’ neighbour South Korea is undergoing political upheaval these days. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol tried to impose martial law, following which the parliament impeached him. However, Kim’s government or his state media has kept away from it.
