North Korea and Russia vow to deepen ties

North Korea and Russia want to further deepen their ties. On August 15, when North Korea celebrated the liberation day, Russia President Putin congratulated the North Korea’s President Kim, saying that the bond with North Korea is forged as Russia too fought Japan, the two countries common adversary then. To this, the North Korea leader Kim Jong Un reaffirmed a pledge to deepen cooperation with Russia. North Korea celebrates August 15 as the liberation day from Japan’s colonial rule. North Korea, further, is usually against U.S., thereby Russia is its natural ally.
