NATO’s new boss Mark Rutte has said Ukraine must stay on in the war against Russia. Rutte, the former Dutch prime minister, took over from Jens Stoltenberg as NATO secretary general.
News organisations, referring to their interactions with Rutte, maintained that Rutte felt comfortable working with either of U.S. presidential candidates. He also said Donald Trump, in his last stint as the President of the U.S. pushed NATO in spending more on defence, and he was right in doing so.
Rutte has taken over as the NATO boss at a crucial time when ally Ukraine is fighting a survival battle with Russia. Ukraine has been asking support from the NATO allies with arms and money to stay on in the war.
