Musk’s Starlink signs deal with India’s Airtel for a collaboration in India

Tech-billionaire Elon Musk’s telecom service provider Starlink has signed a deal with Indian’s Airtel to provide internet services to India.

Tech-billionaire Elon Musk’s telecom service provider Starlink has signed a deal with Indian’s Airtel to provide internet services to India.

According to reports, Airtel on Tuesday stated that the two companies will use one another’s network infrastructure to provide internet service. However, Starlink will have to seek approval of Government of India.

Musk’s Starlink has been eying on Indian market since long and last time it tried, it ran into a business clash with Ambani’s Reliance Jio.

India is a big internet user, and owing to its huge population big companies like Starlink would necessarily like to claim a share in this market. At present, however, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio is the biggest player in the sector.
