Israel’s Mossad spy chief David Barnea and the CIA director William Burns are reportedly in Qatar capital Doha on Monday for Gaza ceasefire talks. They are expected to meet Qatar Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and try to resume the talks. However, analysists say the talks will have little outcome as Israel continues its strike in Gaza.

The U.S. has been pressurizing Israel for ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon as the war has caused massive civilian casualty. A few days back, U.S. Secretary of States Blinken travelled Middle-East to hold talks on ceasefire with leaders including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It was being thought that after the killing of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar on October 16 ceasefire in Gaza was the only option, but Israel continued its war efforts.

Families of Israeli captives also have reportedly built pressure on Netanyahu as around 100 of them continue to remain in Gaza.
