South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Tuesday declared martial law. According to news reports, the reason behind his declaration of martial law includes problems by domestic political opponents, who had been displaying "shameless pro-North Korean” stands.
In a late night Tv address, Yoon Suk Yeol declared the martial law to the sudden surprise of the citizens, and said that he vowed "shameless pro-North Korean anti-state forces”, according to news organisations. He said he had no choice but to resorts to such measure to safeguard constitutional order.
The South Korea is in conflict with its North Korean nation. While the North Korea’s friendship with Russia and China is well-known, South Korean depends much on the anti-Russian nations as allies.
