The U.S. and South Korea are allies and valued trade partners for long. While partnership between the two nations includes areas like defense, electronic goods, cars to name a few, geopolitics compels South Korea to maintain a good relation with the United States. Besides, the South Korea being a manufacturing giant as far as electronic goods and steel are concerned, the U.S. middle-class market offers space for price competitive South Korean consumer goods.
