Lebanon U.N. Mission: Explosives were planted on the communications devices before they arrived in Lebanon

Lebanon’s U.N. Mission has said that the communications devices that were in use by Hezbollah members and were detonated, had been planted with explosives before they arrived in Lebanon.

News organisations, quoting news agency Reuters, said that the Lebanon’s U.N. Mission has a sent a letter regarding this to the U.N. Security Council. The Lebanon Mission has also said that the devices were detonated by sending electronic message into them.

The message reportedly was sent to all the victim devices simultaneously, and when the receivers tried to read taking the devices near their eyes, they exploded all at the same time. While 37 people died of this explosion, over 3,000 were severely injured, many victims’ hit by the explosion supposedly on the face.
