Israel will close its embassy in Dublin. News reports quoting Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, stated on Sunday that Israel took the decision reportedly because of "extreme anti-Israel policies of the Irish Government".

Ireland, a small country in Europe with nearly little military presence though with high socio-ethical values, is for a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine issue, and recognizes the ‘Palestine statehood’. In fact, there are more nations in Europe including countries like Spain that recognise Palestine statehood and want the war in Middle-East to end immediately.

Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris, however, regretted the decision of Israel and posted on X:   "I utterly reject the assertion that Ireland is anti-Israel. Ireland is pro-peace, pro-human rights and pro-International law".
