Israel strikes Beirut, Hezbollah vows to take revenge of communications device blast

Hezbollah has vowed to take revenge after Israeli attacks on its communications device that killed 37 and left over 3,000 people severely injured, including over 1100 children, news agencies reported on Friday. Israeli forces on the other hand struck south Lebanon more than 50 times.
Israel, however, has neither admitted nor denied its involvement in the attack on the communications device used by the Hezbollah members of Lebanon, though the Hezbollah has blamed it. Hezbollah in Lebanon is backed by Iran, where Hamas chief Haniyen had been killed.
In another development, three persons were killed and another 17 injured as Israel struck Beirut after Hezbollah attacked Israel with rockets on Friday. According to Israeli military, the strikes were targeted on Ibrahim Akil, a senior military functionary of Hezbollah. However, whether Akil was present in Beirut during the time of the attack, remains unknown.
