Close on heels of the U.S. presidential elections scheduled in November, leaders of the United States, Egypt and Qatar have demanded Israel and Hamas to sit on the negotiation table to resumed the failed talks and end the war in Gaza. These countries said ‘no excuses’ to the two warring parties.
“There is no further time to waste, nor excuses from any party for further delay,” they said in a joint statement of these countries.
Meanwhile, Israel P.M. Benjamin Netanyahu’s office too has agreed to send a negotiation team, saying, “Pursuant to the proposal by the U.S. and the mediators, Israel will, on 15 August, send a negotiation team to a place to be determined in order to finalise the details of the implementation of the framework agreement.”
