Israel blasts a crater in Gaza that is feared to have buried many Palestinians to death

In one of a worst kind of attacks in war, Israel on Tuesday blasted a huge crater in a zone designated as safe in Gaza, that caused many families buried in the sand and tents set ablaze.

According to news agency Reuters, Palestine authorities said scores of people have been killed, and at least 19 bodies were taken to the hospital, while many have been buried underneath.

While Israel said it had attacked a command centre of the Hamas armed group, Hamas denied any of its fighters were present there. The place reportedly was a humanitarian place and camps had been set up for people and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians had taken shelter.
