The Israeli military on Sunday issued evacuation orders for residents of eastern Gaza City suburb, that threatens a further displacement, news organisations have reported.

The evacuation order was given by the Israeli army reportedly because of rocket firings from the said suburb in Gaza by what Israel maintains as Palestinian militants. "For your safety, you must evacuate immediately to the south," the military's order said.

Gaza has been reeling under acute food insecurity, homelessness, repeated displacement and diseases—which has worsened after Israel banned UNRWA from operating in the territory occupied by it.

Hundreds of houses in in three embattled north Gaza towns - Jabalia, Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun have reportedly been blown up, bringing the residents on the streets.
