Iran President to attend BRICS summit in Moscow and meet Russian President too

Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian will be attending the upcoming summit of BRICS in Russia. He also will be meeting his Russian counterpart Putin, Tehran ambassador in Moscow said as reported by news organisations.
Iran President will be Russia amidst tension with the U.S., Germany, Britain and France who a few days back imposed sanctions against Iran, to which Iran had retaliated as saying that Iran was willing to solve problems but won’t buckle down to sanction-tactics.
The U.S. and the European countries have accused Iran of supplying ballistic missiles to Russia that are being used in the war against Ukraine. Iran had denied the charge.
The U.S. has been supporting Israel against Palestine. Iran has been supporting Islamic armed groups that are fighting Israel. The U.S. is aiding Ukraine in the war against Russia. Thus, Iran and Russia are naturally allied against the U.S. and the European nations.
Muslim countries like Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the UAE joined the organisation in January 2024. The block was primarily Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
