Iran hangs 29 convicts in a single day

Iran on Wednesday is supposed to have hanged at least 29 convicts in a single day. On these include 26 were executed in group in Ghezelhesar Prison in Karaj outside Tehran, while three other men were executed in Karaj's city prison.

Reuters reports that the executions have been confirmed by various human rights groups, including US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) and Centre for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI).
