Iran expects New Delhi to convince Israel to stop genocide in Gaza

Iran expects India to play a bigger role in Middle-East and help dispel conflict and war between Israel and other countries there.

Iran’s Ambassador to India, Iraj Elahi, has said that India can use its influence and convince Israel to stop genocide in Gaza. Elahi termed India a ‘big power’ and ‘important country’ and said that there is an expectation that India can and should play a more active role in the current crisis in West Asia.

Iran had got involved in the war between Isarel-Palestine after Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyen was assassinated in Tehran a few days back. Iran attributed the killing to Israel and its extended armed group Hezbollah is at war with Israel.

India has good relations with Israel and Iran. This apart India is a big market for Israeli agricultural technology.
