Indian Prime Minister Modi’s Party accuses U.S. Department of State of Trying to Destabilize India

The political party of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has accused the U.S. Department of State of trying to destabilise India in conjunction with some investigative journalists.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) The political party of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has accused the U.S. Department of State of trying to destabilise India. According to news reports, the ruling party of India has said that in conjunction with some investigative journalists and with opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, the U.S. Department of State is targeting India.

The accusation, however, comes as a surprise as Indian Prime Minister Modi has been maintaining cordial relations with U.S. President Joe Biden and his bonhomie with President-elect Donald Trump is well-known, though India takes an approach to maintain good relations with the U.S.’s arch rival Russia too.

For the last few days, Adani Group is in news after a court of the U.S. Department of Justice indicted Group chair Gautam Adani and seven others for being part of a $265 million scheme to bribe Indian officials - allegations the group has termed "baseless". Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi has been demanding a probe into the issue.
