India Protests Canada’s Statement Linking Home Minister with Plotting against Sikh Separatists in Canada

India on Saturday criticized Canada for linking Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah with plots against Sikh separatists in Canada. India also has accused Ottawa of spying on Indian consular staff.

"It was conveyed in a note that the government of India protests in the strongest terms to the absurd and baseless references made to the Union Home Minister of India," India Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal told reporters in New Delhi.
