The price rise of houses has reportedly left many American households wanting to own homes, beyond reach. Harris has laid out plans to boost new construction and reduce costs for renters and homebuyers through tax incentives. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign too has promised to reduce costs through tax breaks.
